What exactly do you do?
I design and book custom trips, mainly to Scotland, England and the UK, Europe and on cruises. I handle the research, planning and bookings so you can simply enjoy the journey.
What is film and literary travel?
It's travel built around a story you love. You visit real filming locations and literary settings, like Outlander's Scotland or Jane Austen's Bath, plus the towns and landscapes around them.
Do you only plan themed trips?
Not at all. Many of my clients simply want a well-planned trip to Scotland, London or Europe, or a relaxing cruise.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. Your first consultation is free, with no obligation. It's a chance to talk through your ideas and see whether we're a good fit.
Do you charge a planning fee?
Yes. After a successful consultation, a planning fee applies before I begin designing your custom trip. I'll explain the fee clearly during your consultation, before you commit to anything.
Do you book everything for me?
Yes. I book your hotels, transportation, tours and experiences, and I'm there to help if anything changes along the way.
Will I be involved in planning?
As much as you like. We review the plan together and adjust it until it fits you.
How far ahead should I start planning?
For Europe and the UK, six to twelve months ahead gives you the best choice of hotels, tours and prices, but reach out anytime and I'll see what's possible.
Do I need to live in Florida to work with you?
Not at all. I'm based in Lake City, Florida, and I plan trips for travelers all across the United States.
Do you book cruises too?
Yes. I book ocean cruises in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Alaska, as well as European river cruises.
What documents do I need to visit the UK?
U.S. travelers need a valid passport and an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) from the UK government before departure. I'll remind you of current requirements as your trip gets closer.
What happens while I'm traveling?
You'll have detailed directions, maps and suggestions for every day, and you can reach me if questions come up along the way.
